About Robbie
Robbie Ballard is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with nearly three decades of leadership experience spanning the oilfield services, transportation, logistics, equipment, and industrial sectors. Throughout his career, he has built and led organizations through periods of significant growth, operational transformation, and market expansion.
Robbie served as President and later Chief Executive Officer of 1845 Oil Field Services, where he helped guide the company through a period of strategic growth while supporting major energy producers across the United States. Prior to 1845, he served as Chief Operating Officer of D&T Trucking, overseeing logistics, fleet operations, and business development initiatives. He also spent more than fourteen years as President of Triple R Mechanical, leading industrial and mechanical service operations throughout the energy and construction markets.
Since 2021, Robbie has served as President of Paramount Trailer Leasing, a rapidly growing commercial trailer leasing company focused on serving transportation, construction, energy, and industrial customers.
He has also played a key role in expanding the business to Paramount Truck Solutions focused on truck equipment, fleet services, and vehicle upfitting solutions designed for ranching, oilfield, construction, and outdoor applications. Drawing on decades of experience working alongside operators in demanding environments, Robbie has helped develop practical truck customization and equipment solutions that improve functionality, durability, and performance in the field.
Known for his hands-on leadership style and deep operational expertise, Robbie brings extensive experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, acquisitions, capital deployment, safety culture development, and organizational growth. Tim Buffington is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and business leader with more than two decades of experience building and scaling companies across the energy, transportation, real estate, and technology sectors. Rooted in the Fort Worth and Parker County community, Tim is known not only for his business acumen but for his commitment to long-term partnerships, local investment, and creating opportunities in the industries he operates in. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and is actively engaged as an owner and operator of diversified business interests spanning transportation, oilfield services, truck upfitting, trailer leasing, real estate development, and programmatic talent acquisition.
Much of Tim’s success is rooted in an enduring business partnership with Robbie Ballard that spans nearly twenty years. Together, Tim and Robbie have built and operated companies across multiple industries, including sand logistics, trucking, trailer leasing, and real estate development demonstrating a consistent ability to identify opportunity, scale operations, and create lasting enterprise value. Their partnership reflects a shared philosophy of hands-on leadership, operational excellence, and deep investment in the communities where they do business.
Tim and Robbie are perhaps best known as the co-founders of 1845 Oilfield Services, which Tim established in 2007 and grew into one of the largest sand logistics companies in North America. At its peak, the company operated more than 800 trucks across every major oil basin in the United States before being successfully sold to private equity in 2015. Building on that foundation, the two partners have continued to grow their transportation and infrastructure footprint, including co-ownership of Paramount Truck Solutions, a commercial truck upfitting business, and Paramount Trailer Leasing, serving clients across the region.
Prior to founding 1845 Oilfield Services, Tim established a real estate development company with completed residential and industrial projects in Nevada and Texas a venture he and Robbie have continued to pursue together through a number of joint real estate partnerships over the years. His early career included the practice of law, giving him a strong foundation in business transactions, contract negotiation, and regulatory matters that has informed his approach to entrepreneurship and investment throughout his career.
Tim holds a Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from California State University, Fresno.
